Overview
Roosevelt Square Phase II is a residential development consisting of 200 rental and 245 for-sale condominiums and town homes. Delivery of these homes is scheduled to begin in Fall 2007. Phase I is nearing completion and has similar scale, with 414 units completed. Roosevelt Square is part of the Chicago Housing Authority’s Plan for Transformation, converting high-rise public housing to new mixed-income communities. In total, Roosevelt Square will unfold in six phases with more than 100 acres being redeveloped.
The Master Developer is Related Midwest formerly LR Development Company, in partnership with Heartland Alliance on the rental development and Quest Development Group LLC on the for-sale development. DeStefano + Partners is the Master Architect responsible for coordinating the work of several smaller architectural firms, including Smith & Smith Associates, Brook Architecture and Macondo Corp.
Roosevelt Square’s Phase II is located primarily in the four-square block area with Grenshaw on the north, Washburne on the south, Racine on the east and Loomis on the west. Phase II consists of several building types including town homes, three-flats, six-flats, mid-rise condo buildings and elevator buildings.
