Langston Cove Phase III

Overview
Langston Cove is a residential development consisting of 25 two-flats of infill for-sale housing.  The buildings feature three distinct styles of brick facades and a range of upgrades, including garages.  Construction will begin its third phase in summer 2006 in Chicago’s historic Auburn-Gresham neighborhood.

Owner/Architect
Langston Cove LLC, an affiliate of Quest Development Group, owns the development. Quest, which has been building in the area for some time now, built SOS Children’s Village and Park Village, with 40 new homes at 76th and Parnell just a few blocks away. The Langston Cove two flats are part the City of Chicago’s New Homes for Chicago program.  The architectural firm for the project is Smith & Smith Associates, Inc.

Development Discription
The development’s remaining 14 homes are located on two sites.  The first is at the corner of 77th and Green Street, across from the Oglesby School.  The second is on the 7900 block of South Parnell Avenue.  Each two-flat has a duplex owner’s unit plus a ground-floor two-bedroom rental unit. The rental unit was designated to meet ADA accessibility standards.

Schedule
Construction will begin late summer 2006.
